Why most meeting tools struggle with Arabic

Real meetings in the Arab world rarely stay in one language. A sentence starts in Arabic and ends in English, product names and technical terms stay in English, and people speak their own dialect. Most transcription tools pick one language per recording and either translate the English away or turn it into Arabic letters.

Modwen decides the language sentence by sentence and keeps each word in the script it was spoken in, so this line stays exactly like this in the transcript.

What you get after the meeting

• A transcript with who said what, in Arabic, English or both. Gulf, Levantine, Egyptian Arabic and MSA.
• A summary in English, Arabic or both, your choice per meeting.
• Decisions, action items with owners and real deadlines, and open questions. "بكرة", "الخميس الجاي" or "by end of day" become dates in your time zone.
• Every point links to the moment it was said. Click it and the recording plays from there.
• Speakers named by voice in later meetings, once you've named them (with their consent).

Private by design

The recording, the transcription and the AI model that writes your notes all run on your computer. Modwen downloads its models once and then works offline. It refuses, in code, to talk to any AI server that isn't on your own machine. Recordings are encrypted with a separate key per meeting.

That matters for meetings you can't upload: client calls, HR conversations, legal and government work.

Works with the meetings you already have

Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, Zoom or a meeting in the room: Modwen records your microphone and the meeting audio from your computer. Live captions show while you talk, and a notification tells you when the notes are ready.
